The article GIFs as Embodied Enactments in Text-Mediated Conversations by Jackson Tolins and Patrawat Samermit explains how as Technology Advances continue we find different ways of communicating, such as using GIFs (Graphical Interchange Formats) which are often used to represent how we feel about a certain situation, or express how we react to something we read or see on social media. I myself have used GIFs to respond to texts or comments made on facebook or other social media, I think it adds more fun to the conversation and it gives a realistic representation of our reactions instead of an "lol" or a ":O" as Technology continues to advance so will our way of communication, and we will have more access to this form of conversation.
