A You-tuber who goes by the name of Prince Ea demonstrated his spoken word poetry about technology and social media in an interesting way. He is saying that social media instead of making us social is making us anti-social. We are all focused on the wrong things in life. We care too much about our social medias. We are constantly on our phones trying to document every moment. I notice this as when I go on SnapChat, I often see people recording at concerts. In the background, I can see everyone with their phones up. This saddens me a bit as people are more focus on what to post on their social media than enjoying the experience. Prince also says that “I asked a friend to meet up face to face. And he said alright, what time do you want to Skype?” This shows that human interaction is drastically lessened which is related to the topic technology. This is showing that technology may be making our lives easier but it is becoming a substitute for human interaction.
