The Collide of Football and Twitter

Social media has taken over the world and people's lives. Every social media website tries to update it's site to keep people engaged and excited. Myspace was super popular until Facebook took over the game. Facebook has the like button and people wanted a dislike button for things that they didn't agree with so recently they had an update with reactions like angry, wow, and sad that you could put instead of just a thumbs up. In an article on NBC News about Twitter and Thursday Night Football.The NFL and Twitter made a deal that 10 Thursday night games would be streamed live on Twitter even for people without accounts. This is just one example of how social media sites are trying to do connect to people even if they are not accustomed to the social media platform quite yet.  More people would be able to tune in and watch their favorite team, the Seahawks,
even if they do not have cable. Live streaming sporting events on social media is a pretty new concept that could change the game in its entirety.
