Liquid Wire = Spider Silk?

Researchers recently were inspired with the properties of spider silk. In spider silk, there are droplets that act like watery glue. This watery glue substance coats the silk, which keeps the silk from sagging or stretching. The watery glue acts like a spool as it wheels tightens the silk when stretched or loosened. This inspired Oxford University researchers to create a product to have similar properties - not sagging when loosened and not ripped when tighten. As a substitute for the "watery glue" substance, they coated the plastic filaments with oil droplets. This gave them a stunning result, their synthetic spider silk acts the same as real spider silk. They refer to this invention as "liquid wire." This invention could be useful in the engineering and medicine field.
