Elon Musk’s Open AI company recently founded and opened their first “training gym.” The purpose of this gym is to test out new AI programs. At first Elon Musk thought that AI was a bad idea but as time went by he realized that it can benefit our society only if it’s done correctly. With this open gym, they can use it as a benchmark and test for faulty errors. “Advance digital intelligence in the way that is most likely to benefit humanity as a whole.” – Musk also makes it clear that there will be multiple researchers there to facilitate the testing. I think this is a great idea because it will provide testing AI on a smaller level to make sure it is safe. Also it is operated by Musk’s group which includes some of the top AI researchers in the world such as Wojciech Zaremba who worked for both google and Facebook. Everyday technology is advancing and we should continue the trend and not set limits. The AI facility will keep the world being limitless in terms of technology.
