Do you think you’re addicted to your cell phone or any other
technology? Well Edmond Shing talks about how our society is becoming more and
more addicted to technology in the video on IBT. They even have professional psychological help for
technology addiction like they would with drug or alcohol. It might seem like a
bad thing, and don’t get me wrong it most defiantly can be. But then again
think of all the respectable things that are coming from this new age of
technology. As Mr. Shing pointed out, we have new technology such as the “iwatch”.
This technology is allowing people get into the mindset of healthy habits. The technology
can not only record your pulse, distance walked/run, but also your time slept
and calories burnt. Even though Mr. Shing is mostly referring to this
technology in the UK, I still think that it very much applies to what is
happening in the U.S.
