Rex Bionics has recently acquired support from the US Army to produce a new generation of walking devices for veterans who have lost limbs in combat. The device is operated by a joystick and can perform tasks such as walking, moving up and down stairs and sitting as well as standing up. This support involves allowing Rex Bionics to work with veterans who have real disabilities letting them be the first to operate and test the device. If the testing is successful this device could become the new standard over electric wheel chairs and be a huge step forward for disability assistance.
