Outsourcing is not Globalization

Outsourcing. One noun that can single-handedly weaken an economy and raise unemployment. As an American, I tend to view this as a negative. Some may argue that without out sourcing globalization is scares, like in the article Outsourcing: The Good versus The Bad. However for American companies "globalization" is just an excuse to get cheap labor in another country so they do not have to pay American workers. Globalization is a myth for American based companies. Globalization is really only needed if certain resources can be taken from a foreign area, as far as I am concerned American companies are only globalizing for the resource of cheap labor. The best way to stop outsourcing and employ Americans would be to raise trade tariffs so companies would end up losing money for using another country for cheap labor but companies that really do need to globalize, could sell their rare, foreign resources at a premium.
