Ekso Bionics gains FDA approval for use of bionic exoskeleton with stroke victims.

Ekso Bionics is a robotics company based out of Richmond and has been working on exoskeleton technology for years now. Their main project has been a wearable exoskeleton that supports the human body from the lower back down. Additionally the suit can assist in carrying and operating heavy equipment. The FDA recently approved funding for Ekso Bionics to expand their creation's uses to people with spinal injuries and various medical disorders that make walking difficult.
